So now that we're starting to feature music from our friends and local bands and stuff in our videos, it makes sense to put up some of their music for download so that you too can commute on over-crowded trains and listen to their tunes at high volumes in an effort to kill your hearing so that you don't have to listen to the obnoxious brat wailing and screaming his head off while his irresponsible parents stand around idly.
The Last Transmission is a local band from Singapore, playing indie rock. They contributed a couple of songs to World of Offline Gaming, with Neon Nothingness being the most featured song in the Kill-Stealing scene. They currently have an album out (Neon Nothingness being the title track), and you could find out more details about them from their website.
Sam is one of the founding members of symphonic black metal band Meza Virs, and is also a freelance music composer. He's currently composing the soundtrack for The Legion of Haters, and in his spare time he polices the seas of Singapore in a small canoe armed with a plastic shotgun loaded with rubber darts that stick to the foreheads of evil terrorists with deadly efficiency.
His influences include include black/death progressive metal, psy/female vox trance, chillout, game & anime soundtracks, new age, etc...
Meza Virs is one of the leading symphonic black metal bands in Singapore, and our first music video was a video for their song Tragic Vendetta. Currently they're RELEASED a new album as well as a better version of Tragic Vendetta, so check out their website for all the goodies!
THE DUBIOUS BROTHERS
A google search shows that there's quite a handful of active and inactive music groups around called the Dubious Brothers, but the one we listen to is a young 5-piece Singapore rock band. Winners of the 2006 Jam-X competition, the Dubious Brothers contributed a song to World of Offline Gaming which we used as the closing credits song, and also perform the song used in Nate's Totally Dope Skate Viddy (Version 4).
Pat - 3.06 megs
(not the best recording in the world, but better stuff is coming soon! Also, Pat is not the best example of their style because it's pretty different from their usual stuff... but like I said more songs will be coming soon!)
Little Miss Judy - 4.27 megs (not the best recording in the world either, because they got ripped off by a shitty recording studio)
ALEX MESKER
The big guy himself is the reason Drew started listening to Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails way back in high school, and then Aphex Twin when he was in uni. A part-time lecturer at Macquarie University, Alex has been an early contributor to the Deadpan videos, composing entirely original soundtracks for both PMS and HotD2. He still creates some of the best electronic music out there.
Unfortunately, Drew seems to have misplaced the soundtrack CDs, so the only thing we have now is a not-so-good quality rough version of the HotD2 main theme. Which sucks, because they were both really good soundtracks!
Drakey Poo sings her name - 363 kb
A recording of Drew's beloved pet birdie singing along to some of her favorite music. I think in this recording it's Cradle of Filth or something. If you listen closely you can hear her sing her name.
