Deadpanime Kimble, Shiven and Chris

Recently I watched the first ten episodes of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (thanks to Fiona for burning me the episodes) as well as the first few episodes of Getbackers... and I was brought back to a time when I would watch a lot of these anime cartoons. Anyway I figured that I'll try drawing the Deadpan characters in anime styles and check out the results... and this is what I came up with.

Kimble here is a modified Mashimaro... something that is much more evident in the other image in the rant page. He's practically the same, except with modified ears, Kimble's regular eyes and a tail.

Shiven is based on something I used to watch in the morning before school: Sailor Moon. And yet, I've never seen the end of any episode as I always had to leave for school halfway through the show. I changed the regular sailor outfit a little by tweaking the colors and... well... I guess that's all I did.

Can you guess who Chris is based off? If you look in his hand, you can make out the unmistakable color scheme of a Pokéball, so it must be Ash from Pokémon!

My regular drawing style is sorta anime-ish to begin with, so I guess these pics don't really look too different from what they normally look like... but the coloring I found was completely different. I've been trying all these textures and computer shading... but in anime artwork it's all flat colors and shit... so I did my best to make it so... but I think I fucked up. Oh well...
