Corporate Video News 20th November, 2004 Corporate Video's done, but I've yet to collect my paycheck... Hmmm, funny how they get slack when it comes to payment. In the meantime, I've finished up the Gamebike video too, and that one was pretty fun to do. There were these primary school kids riding the bikes, and they were like totally into those bikes. It's not exactly Halo 2, but that's one fun machine if you're in need for a workout. I might put up the video one of these days too. --- Now that I've got these videos out of the way... I guess it's just time for me to get off my ass and pursue that dream job of jockeying a video store :] 5th November, 2004 Just when I thought the Corporate video was over, I get woken up by a phone call on my "Rest day" asking me to come up with 13 copies of the video on DVD, because German DVD players can't read VCDs or something. Now that sucked majorly. Because not only did I have to learn a whole new program to assemble and burn DVDs with on the spot, but there was also the burning process... it's like 20 mins per DVD! Multiplied by 13 means a CRAPLOAD of time wasted! Not to mention that the DVD burner kept fucking up after 6 or so burns... Anyway, that's FINALLY over over... Like, really over. Like "I collect my paycheck next week" over. FINALLY! --- And now that it's over, I'm off to work on an ad for an exercise bike that hooks up to a Sony Playstation2 to play racing games with. Burn off those calories while playing Gran Turismo 4 indeed! 26th October, 2004 I got really fucking sick this weekend. Which sucked even more not only because it was the last weekend Aaron was going to spend in Singapore before flying back to Sydney, but because the Corporate video was due on Monday morning! This corporate video is totally kicking my ass! I mean, everytime I get something done, something new pops up, be it tech issues with the computer or new script changes from my bosses. And if everything seems to be going fine, then suddenly I'm struck with a surprise illness that leaves me bed-ridden for the weekend, crawling out of bed only for the very frequent trips to the bathroom. Damn you, diarrhoea! But the video was completed (this version anyway... this corporate video's going to get more revisions and facelifts than Nate's Skate video!) and I handed it in just before heading over the doctor. Hopefully this edition of the corporate video is to everyone's satisfaction, so I can take the time to reformat and reinstall Windows. But of course, there'll be more work to do. And the more work there is to do, the laggier and glitchier Premiere will become... Fucking hell... This is just a 10 minute video! I can't imagine ever finishing a 40 min video like "Amy" under these conditions! I need a working computer and stable OS! My nose and lips are rubbed raw from tissue wiping... and it's painful as hell. But what's worse is that these aren't the only parts of my body that's been rubbed raw from frequent tissue-wiping! Damn you diarrhoea, indeed! --- Oh, and I just dug up an old video that I made when I first got the Raptor editing card. There's some sound issues that I gotta remedy first, but soon I'll put it up on the site. It's like a precursor to Version 3 and I think it's kinda interesting to see how my editing has evolved in 3 years.
