We're currently working on 3 works at the moment! And not a single one of them involves guns or violence!

THE LEGION OF HATERS

The eternal balance has been broken! Deimos, son of the Demon-Queen Tamareth has risen in the Mortal Realm and has unleashed his Legion of Haters upon the world. The only person that can stop him from opening the Dark Gate into the Demon Realm is Ellipsis, the silent Champion of the Mortal Realm, and his sidekick Munchtail.

The evolution from the Drew Kombat experiment, The Legion of Haters is inspired by just about every video game out there, and is going to be lots of fun with mindless gratuitous, 2-dimensional side-scrolling violence!

Already in production, should be done February 2006.

IDLE DREAMS

Alison “Ali” Wong appears to be a strong-willed and ambitious free spirit, but deep down inside she’s quite afraid to pursue her dream of being a screen-writer because of her strong fear of failure and rejection.

Steve “Boom” Neil is a disillusioned member of a successful punk/rock band on tour in Singapore. Despite his public image as a bad-boy skater-punk, Steve is in reality a sensitive and shy poet who is forced to live a double-life because of his commitments to his band.

A chance meeting in Ali’s workplace engages the pair in a polite conversation about their aspirations to become writers, and soon they realize that they click very well as potential friends and confidantes. They begin to relate to each other about their dreams and goals, leading to a meeting after Ali’s shift to continue their engaging conversation.

The conversation deepens their strange bond, and they trade dreams and inspirations while walking along the streets of Singapore. Over the course of 2 nights, their discussions move from their aspirations to the obstacles that hold them back from seeking their dreams.

Throughout their conversation, they start to encourage each other to get back on the saddle and continue the pursuit of the big goal, because if they succeed in inspiring the other party it might just inspire themselves to do the same.

Idle Dreams is going to be our very first feature length film, and we're all pretty excited about this one. It was written to be easy enough to make from a production point of view, but since it's mostly dialogue this is the very first time we're going to have to really really work on rehearsals and acting, and well... we'll probably get proper actors this time around. Well, we're going to have to.

Hopefully we can start production sometime in August or so... Dave & Pete are willing to fly over to help me produce this one, so we're all really really stoked!

Look out for this one! This one's the one! Like, the one!

PATIENT ZERO

From the ashes of a ruined city, a mind-controlling virus rises and seeks to take control of the remaining survivors of an apocalyptic meteor storm...

Or not! Patient Zero has an ominous sci-fi sounding name, but it's actually a high school teen flick about the effects of letting an emotional problem go out of control, and having the bad mood and negativity spread across the whole school like a virus.

Cleo and Marc are just friends. Problem is, Cleo has had a crush on Marc for the longest time, but Marc considers her just a friend. Bigger problem is, Cleo is a complete state of denial and refuses to admit that she has a problem. The end result are major mood swings, and soon her friends not only feel the negativity but start to exhibit mood swings and depression themselves as a result of constant contact with Cleo.

Soon the whole school becomes infected with depression... and then I'm not sure what happens. But when I do figure out what happens next, I'll be sure to put it up here.

B-LIST CELEBS

The first work is a comedy/drama TV pilot that I'm trying to get developed and eventually made when I get back to Singapore at the end of the year. The show will follow the lives of six friends who are little league celebrities in Singapore's media, and we'll share their adventures as they try to get through the problems of being a 20-something "not a kid; not yet an adult" in Singapore. Not only do they have the regular issues of growing up and dealing with new responsibilties and proceeding onto the next stage in life, but as B-List Celebs they also have the added crap of being famous and constantly dealing with being in the public eye without the perks of being a mega-huge star like Tom Cruise or something (Mr. Cruise's name must always be typed in bold font).

The characters cover a wide range of little league celebrities in Singapore, ranging from a Radio DJ to a Model. Of course, since it's something I'm writing they mainly sit around discussing relationships and bitching about everything and anything... like how fugly Ja Rule is (although Bridie claims that he's not as ugly in person). The characters include:

Constance Loh: One of the main characters, Constance is an emotional and neurotic Radio DJ who likes to play up her life to gratuitously dramatic levels (a side-effect from watching Melrose Place as a child). Currently she's all torn between her ex-boyfriend and a current boyfriend, especially with the pressure of the media dictating her life.

Chad Wong: As an extremely vain and ego-centric MTV VJ, Chad's one of the comic relief characters, and is pretty much the guy that ties all of the main characters together.

Mikey Woo: Mikey is Constance's super-friendly ex-boyfriend, who is currently dating Constance's childhood nemesis. As a regular guy with a regular job, he represents... well... the regular people who aren't rich and famous.

Currently, the cast consists of:

Constance Loh   ?
Jeremy Tan   Nick Pan
Chad Wong   Frankie
Aimee Lee   ?
Mikey Woo   Nick Cheok
Andy Kok   Cedric

Kiki   ?
Fei Ying   ?
Wei Siang   ?
